Play Date Cafe; Challenge #78

More fantastically fabulous color inspiration from the Play Date Cafe this week!
I needed to make some baby cards so I used a new (to me) CTMH stamp set. I made a few like this, with the pink image and a number of more "boy" cards too with a little boy image stamped in blue. Nothing very fancy but I'm glad they're done and I have a few on hand now.

All products are CTMH here today. Colors are Tulip, Blush, Lilac Mist and White Daisy.

Have a very Happy Easter Weekend.

Best wishes for a beautiful day full of smiles, love, laughter and many blessings!

CASE Study Challenge #36

Here's the beautiful card we are to use as inspiration from CASE Study Challenge. I studied it. I CASED it ... in my own way ... I usually try to make a quick sketch on scratch paper to take with me into my scrappin room but I didn't this time ... mine came out pretty close though. With sincere Gratitude for the inspiration, A huge THANKS to the incredible Silke Ledlow

I've been really wanting to try making these paper flowers for quite sometime and finally gave it a go the other night ... not too bad for my first try .... I made this card for my beautiful and amazing Mom for Mother's Day. I wasn't sure exactly what to do with the flowers once I made them ... I was originally going to group them where the bow is but then I couldn't find a stamp I liked to go in the circle ... so I went this direction .... I have a Verve-valicious parcel on it's way, full of new stamps to stamp the inside but I thought this Verve stamp I already had would be a perfect sentiment for the outside of her card. All paper and inks, brads and "cherish" tag are by CTMH.

Thank YOU very much for looking and have a splendid day!

Gettin My Mojo On Man Style :)

Have I ever told you how much I love my husband?
Well, I do. I adore him. He had a really bad mountain biking accident over 5 years ago and can barely walk now. He has had 8 major surgeries ...
"he smashed his foot off".
Needless to say, it changed our lives. Shortly after his accident, the twins were babies, had just turned one, I began to notice that they were not "typical" and we began the long and agonizing process of having them diagnosed.
They both have Autism.
So let's say we have had some challenges in the last 5 years.
But let's focus on how incredibly blessed and fortunate we are.
Between you and me, my husband really is my hero.
But I tend to be a bit of a tough cookie, a little on the sarcastic side, a bit rough around the edges towards him sometimes.
So when he does something helpful ... I often say in my dry tone,
"Super Dear. What do you want? A hero badge?"
I know. I'm a meanie.
Thank God he loves me.
I made him this card today ... because, some where, down deep, I have a very soft place in my heart for this wonderful and amazing husband and Daddy.
He really is my Hero.
Here's the sketch from Mojo Monday this week

Here's my card for my husband ... complete with pop off "hero badge"

Thanks for looking and have a delightful day!

Challenge Combo ❀ Verve Sketch ❀ Embellish Colors

❀ The incredible and Beautiful Sketch. Love it! ❀

❀ The Lovely Spring Colors + Crochet Trim Challenge from Embellish ❀

I used CTMH card stock, Verve Stamps, CTMH Ink, Dollar Store Crochet Ribbon, and a Martha Stewart Punch. I stamped and sanded all the paper. I inked the crochet trim and then over-lapped it with another strip of crochet trim that I didn't ink. Not really lovin' it.

❀ Thanks for Looking and Have a Great day! ❀

Oh Happy Day to YOU ✿ Play Date Cafe Challenge

Fun times are being had over at the cafe!
Scrumptious goodies to eat up, all completely fat free!
Check it out; go have some fun:
The bunnies are back! My yard is full of cute little bunnies, (I say they're cute now but just wait until summer comes and I'm fighting to defend my garden from the pesky rabbits!), cute little bunnies and lovely, happy tulips! Happy Spring Everyone! So with the inspiration of my yard and the Play Date Cafe I quickly created this fast and easy little card using my Cricut, (I think this is Give a Hoot) and a CTMH stamp.
Sorry Play Date Peeps, I had to add a wee splash of color for the tulips, I had intended to keep to the challenge colors and make them white but they just didn't show up enough ... is that okay?

A huge and happy Thank YOU for looking today!
Hope your day is wonderful and full of much love and many blessings!

CASE Study Challenge #34

Here is the positively beautiful inspiration from CASE study this week; I love their site! Great new inspiration every week ... each team member is more talented than the last! If you're looking to be inspired and get out of your box, head on over! This girl has a knack for Clean & Simple, and no one rocks white space as masterfully as she does. Dear ladies, let's join our hands together for the amazing Silke Ledlow!!! ... sorry in advance about my photos today ... my other camera's out on the town.

I was inspired by the clean lines, pops of color and beautiful butterflies on Silke's card. Also, years ago. I saw a very similar card and have always wanted to give it a go!  Thank You so much for taking the time to look at my humble offerings here today :)

I stamped the butterflies and then embossed with some powder that had a wee touch of sparkle to it ... one of my custom mixes :)

Then I just used a sponge to add the colors, from stamp pads, I didn't worry about getting out of the lines because then of course, I cut out all the butterflies and glued them on the white base. One simple sentiment in black and she was done! Stamps and Ink and Paper are CTMH today.

Tuesday Trigger: A Burst of Blooms ♥ Sounds FUN; I'll play!

The Lovely Inspiration from Tuesday Trigger: A Burst of Flowers. This is a new challenge blog I have just discovered but when I saw it and this pretty pic of this gorgeous Japanese Flower Scarf, I not only really wanted the scarf, I also REALLY want to play along!

The site says to be sure and explain how I was inspired ... well duh :) By all the beautiful, bright, happy flowers! So many flowers in fact that they wouldn't all fit on a card, oh no, they spilled out and all over and into a paper bag book! Full of flowers inside and out :)

A little frustrated I can't seem to rotate this ... any ideas people? It wasn't this way in my photo folder ...

I told you, page after page bursting with flowers! I can't wait until summer when my garden is in full bloom!

More flowers!

This paper really reminded me of the photo inspiration and I knew I wanted to use lots of it!

And finally one big bloom just for fun! Thanks so much for looking! Now where can I go buy that pretty scarf!?!

'nother day, 'nother challenge :) Play Date Cafe # 76

Here's this week's challenge over at Play Date Cafe. If you have never been over, I can't encourage you enough to grab yourself a cup of coffee, tea ... tequila, whatever and head over for some serious inspiration! Super talented people creating gorgeous cards and layouts! :)

I am kind of overwhelmed in the busy dept this week but Play Date is one of my favs and I just had to play so I decided to keep it really simple ... low and behold I have come up with a card that will not (sit down if you get faint easily) require extra postage!! Get this: it's a flat, folded piece of card stock with nothing more than ink on it! I KNOW! Crazy! And I don't even have tequila in my cup or anything! ;)

I am actually quite thrilled with how this turned out ... I sat down with this set and my scratch pad ... had the intention of designing myself some more custom patterned paper ... like my Easter egg  paper ... was doing all these linear patterns when I decided to see what it would look like in a circle. Thought the effect was neat and then decided it could maybe even stand alone ... what do you think!?! The light blue, sky blue, is actually a little square with a frame around it ... different eh? All stamps are Verve and all ink and my single sheet of card stock is CTMH  ♥

Have I told you today how much I appreciate it when you leave a comment?
Truly, it makes my day!
I hope you have a delightful day and a beautiful weekend packed full of
love and laughter and many blessings!

Color Me Spring! Verve Challenge; Have I mentioned? I ♥ Verve stamps!?!

Loving Loving Loving the Verve stamps!
And to top off my new love affair, darn it if they don't have a delightful site packed full of fun challenges and oodles of inspiration! No wonder I am in LOVE!
I combined two Verve challenges here ... (hope that's okay ... I - in no way - want to be a cheater, so if this isn't allowed, please let me know!!)
They have an awesome sketch challenge on the go; I adore the sketch and have made 22 more cards with this sketch in the last two days! and then there's also the "color me spring" challenge ... that I took very literally. :)

So I took this challenge quite literally and decided to actually "color my own spring paper" with my sparkly new Verve stamps. I used stazon, copics and then pounced around with a sponge smooshed on an ink pad. I'm so high tech! ;)

This card is about 5.5 x 7; I combined the sketch and spring color challenge ... you can find both challenges by going to the Vonderful Verve site :D

I made three cards in total ... oops, didn't cut my paper right in the first place ... so I was able to swing two cards, standard size of about 4 x 5 ish and then the one 5 x 7 ish.Yes, they are Crazy BUSY, but growing on me! The actually show a lot of depth and the colors really "pop". I made all the paper myself :) Except for the black ... but I just stamped and sponged all the pieces with my new Verve sets ... Colored my "own spring"

Hey :D Thanks for coming out and having a look; I am so inspired by ALL of you out there in the blogger world ... what did I ever do without YOU! Yes, You. :)
Thank YOU!
XO

Play Date Cafe Challenge #75

The Lovely Inspiration this week from Play Date Cafe

My take on it :) I couldn't really find anything silver but I found these brads in my stash and they have a "silverish" outline ... so I decided to go with a "star" theme.
Thank you so much for looking. I hope you have a delightful and wonderful day!
Must get supper on the table ...

Gettin' my MOJO on CASE style :)

Here's the beautiful inspiration from CASE STUDY this week ... I was inspired by the caption
"like a fresh breeze"

Here's the gorgeous sketch over at Mojo Monday this week ... obviously, I went with the square :)

Here's my "exact" following of the sketch from Mojo and as soon as I read "like a fresh breeze", I knew I wanted to use some of my stash; this lovely "cloud" paper by Cosmo Cricket.
And here's my slight variation ... the ribbon on the top wasn't workin' for me so I made another with some ribbon at the bottom instead :) And no, still don't have the guts to sew yet so I stamped some stitches ... again!
